Dinner at the restaurant followed by a free evening. During the private minibus journey: A brief presentation on the history of Colonel Le Page's "Tabors" in the region (Loc Binh pocket, etc.) and a briefing on the history of Lang Son.

Departure for the Ky Lua Caves (Chua Tam Thanh).
Departure for That Khe (1h30). Lunch. Continuation of our visit to the That Khe Chapel, a former infirmary during the RC 4 battles.
Departure for Dong Khe (1 hour drive and 2 hours of historical stops).
Arrival at the hotel in Dong Khe.

Departure by minibus to ascend to Hill 765. Then continuation on foot to the upper and lower cirques, the "Goulet," and the Spring.

Departure by minibus on the former RC 4 to the Coc Xa basin via the Quang Liet Valley.
Return to town, lunch.
Departure towards Ban Gioc along the Chinese border.
Dinner and overnight stay in a superb small lodge in Dam Thuy.
Breakfast at the lodge.
Departure for the Tiger Cave (Dong Nguom Ngao), then departure for Ban Gioc Falls. On the way, a stop at the Truc Lam Pagoda built on the mountainside. Optional: a short detour to visit Na Pheo, where Camp No. 5 was established.
Lunch at the restaurant.
Departure for the village where Camp No. 1 was established.
On the road to Quang Uyen, stops to visit the sites of Camp No. 1.
Departure for Pac Bo, on the road to Quang Uyen. Stops to visit the blacksmith villages of Phuc Sen.
Arrival in Pac Bo, check-in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

Departure for Pac Bo Cave, a grotto with idyllic and historical scenery, located on Karl Marx Mountain and watered by the Lenin Stream.
Lunch in Cao Bang and coffee by the river.
Visit to the local covered market, discovery of the citadel transformed into a Vietnamese military building, then a stop at the Vietnamese monument erected on the former site of a French outpost.
Check-in.
Dinner followed by a free evening.

Departure for Ba Be Lake (123 km - 3h30). On the way, we will stop at Ban Cao on the former RC 3 bis road.
Arrival at Ba Be, boat trip on Ba Be Lake.

Departure for Hanoi (261 km - 6h30). We will follow part of the route of the former RC 3 and then cross the Absolute Safety Zone (ATK).
On the former RC 3, visit to a former French post.
Lunch en route.
Visit to the ATK zone (Absolute Safety Zone) in Dinh Hoa.
Continuation of the crossing of the ATK Zone via Tan Trao, Son Duong, Dai Tu, and Thai Nguyen.
Arrival in Hanoi. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi and taken to a massage parlor for those who wish.
End of the trip.

For this trip, If you have German, French, Italian, Spanish, British, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish nationality, you do not need a visa as you benefit from a 45-day exemption. If you need to extend your visa to three months to continue your trip, ask Vietnam Insolite Travel to take care of it for you. Please submit your request 20 days before your departure.
Health information
Before leaving for a long stay in Vietnam, you must prepare well in terms of health.
